it Umea Swedish town situated in the northern part of the country. Nowadays, Umea is an important educational center, where he conducted research in the fields of technology and medicine. There are two major universities: Umeå Institute of Technology and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Interestingly, Umea is one of the candidates for the European Capital of Culture 2014.
